Using this set up won't let me control the volume with the tv remote, do you know how I can set that up? I have to manually adjust the volume on my speaker system

Short answer is it good? I mean does it sound good I’m still a little confused.

This is driving me crazy tbh, my work network maxes out at 480 any more I cant watch it. So any small channels I watch are always blurry

Btw when uploading RUclips shorts, 240p and 480p are always there regardless of if it uses 1080p or less.

I used this camcorder to record some of my earlier (now deleted) videos back in 2006-2007. Unforunately, I had to compress it to 240p because RUclips didn't introduce HQ video until about a year after I got rid of it.

hint. you can also plug this thing with a phone charger wall plug. because it only powers thru usb. so you can technically connecting the RCA outputs on speakers, or if you have a soundbar or even maybe an receiver with Optical Toslink plug, you can also use it to. mostly recommended as a DAC replica.

great job on the purchase, speed adjustment & restoration. As for the yellowing on the plastic surrounds, use "bum spray" (I think u guys call it rattle can?) paint, if the can be disassembled from the unit, disassemble them, if not, use painters tape to mask off areas you don't want painted. So they're just getting rid of those quality options moving forward? Damn it RUclips. I can't watch 720 or higher because I'm practically geo-locked from internet service that can support decent quality video streaming, 480 is literally the best I can do without constant buffering. Fuck RUclips.

The 11 ft. wire is to long and is not resonant to the FM band. I cut it down to a 1/4 wave which is about 28.5 inches. Its much improved range over the stock long wire or the rubber duck antenna. The wire needs to be kept straight and a few feet away from any metal objects. You can tie a string to the end of the wire and tape it to wall or celling to keep it straight. The lengths are from 31.5 inches at 88 Mhz to 26.5 inches at 107.9 Mhz. (28.5" is for 98 Mhz and should work well for the whole band.

I just got one today. The connector is not an sma or RP-sma. You can't connect a coax cable because there is no ground to connect the shield to. I found the high power mode increased range by 20% The wire antenna is 11 feet which is to long. The length should be from 26.25 to 31.5" The middle of the band , 98 Mhz is 28.6 inches. I will cut it down and do some range tests. The wire must be kept straight and away from any metal objects.

QQ: How can you see on a 1080i TV the footage from this camera if there is no output in HDMI? Does the AV shoe have that?

Now at 5 of the HV40s. I also got some recorderss from video to card recorders. I can now bypass the tape.

Hello i was wondering if it was normal for red colored object have a bit of a ghosting or bleeding affect when in motion but when I replay the footage and pause the bleeding and ghosting goes away is there any remedy to this.

@3:34 You show a cable, is this a firewire mini to firewire full? I've seen some firewire to usb cables, and I'm curious if any of them actually have some form of functional conversion.

My parents found this camera between their old stuff and were about to throw it out but I asked them if I could keep it. They gave it to me and I've been trying to get it working, the battery seems good enough, a bit old and weak but good enough. The problem I have is with the cassette thingy, it has the issue you mentioned in the video, and the SD card is nowhere to be found, so I basically can't take any pictures, and tbh I don't know if there's there's a way to just plug it to my laptop, I'm like, super inexperienced in this stuff so I'm facing a wall here, but I love the vibe of it and hopefully I'll be able to find a solution and be able to record or at least take pictures with it soon
